It may seem like an odd combination, but alligators have been making appearances during golf tournaments for years. There is a surprising amount of professional golf courses that have alligators lurking in the waters surrounding the area, and when they aren't getting hit by golf balls, they often pop out of the water to watch a few shots. At a golf tournament over the weekend in Florida, an alligator decided to make one of these appearances, and cameras captured it at the perfect moment.
In the video, the alligator is seen eating a large fish, as the cameraman caught the reptile as it was taking its first bite. The incident occurred during the WGC-Workday Championship at The Concession golf course, according to The Big Lead. Many viewers were shocked when they saw the clip, as they were not expecting to see a nature segment during the golf broadcast.
Of course, plenty were happy to see the alligator going after a fish, instead of a person, with one commenter saying "at least it wasn't someone's hand." While golfer Collin Morikawa ended up winning the tournament, the real winners were the fans that got to see this moment, and the alligator that ended the day full and satisfied.
