Police officers in Arlington had quite a busy morning last Tuesday.
The APD was called to a hit-and-run around 8am on Tuesday at the intersection of North Mesquite Street and Slaughter Street. The victim says another vehicle ran a stop sign, collided with her, and proceeded to drive off.
While officers were on the scene, they received another call of another hit-and-run, this time at the intersection of East Randol Mill Road and North Collins Street, which was only a couple of blocks away.
Guess who was involved in that one?
Officers say the same driver, later identified as 29-year-old Dezirae Tallie, most likely crashed into the second vehicle while she was fleeing from the first crash. Police identified her vehicle and later apprehended her in the 500 block of Fuller Street.
According to WFAA, Tallie had several outstanding warrants out of Hurst and Bedford and was arrested and booked into the Arlington City Jail on those warrants. Additional charges for the hit-and-run incidents are pending regarding the outcome of this ongoing investigation.
