Summer is in full swing, and all over the country heat waves are forcing people to find ways to cool off. Apparently that’s the case for animals as well, as a video recently went viral showing a bear trying to cool off in the hot tub of a Southern California home. In the video, the bear relaxes in the water before eventually heading back to the woods.
Last week, police in the city of Burbank responded to a report of a bear sighting after one was spotting taking a dip in a home’s Jacuzzi. As seen in the viral clip, the bear relaxes in the water enjoying the dip on a hot summer day. Luckily for the bear, the hot tub didn’t seem to be running at the time, so the water wasn’t too warm.
According to CBS News, police claim the bear climbed over a wall and headed to a tree behind the home after the swim. Homes in the area have been warned to avoid bears and to keep all garbage and food locked up to discourage bears from coming to the area. Sadly, this bear will now have to find a new way to cool off.
