Spotting an animal on a street is nothing new in Texas. While wild animals can be found all over the state, horseback riders have been seen on DFW roads many times as well. However, drivers in Denton saw something over the weekend no one could have been expecting. A bull was spotted wandering the streets over the weekend after getting loose before eventually being returned to its owner several hours later.

On Saturday, Police in Denton received a call after a bull was spotted walking along Malone Street. While the call originally claimed it was a cow, police quickly found out it was a bull that had gotten away from its owners. Denton Animal Services and the Denton County Sheriff’s Office were called as well to help get the bull into a cattle trailer.

According to Fox 4 News, the bull eventually became “very agitated” and police were forced to call a veterinarian to use a tranquillizer dart on the bull. Eventually, the bull was loaded into the trailer near Panhandle Street and Malone Street and returned to its owner several hours later. At least the bull got a few hours of fun before heading back home.
