Depending on who you ask, former Dallas mayor R.L. Thornton is considered royalty around here, and a home has just been listed in Lakeside befit of that royalty.

The property, which Thornton once called home, is called Chateau des Grotteaux, which in French means “House of Caves.”

Located at 6941 Gaston Ave., the home has six bedrooms, four bathrooms, two half baths, comprises 7,777 square feet, and could be yours for just $5.8 million.

And that’s after a recent price cut of $200,000!

According to the Dallas Morning News, Thornton and his family lived in the home in the ‘70s.
