More than 200 original works of Banksy, the elusive British artist whose identity has never been confirmed, will be on display in Texas this summer.
The pieces are coming as part of "The Art of Banksy Without Limits," a collection that includes certified original prints as well as photos, sculptures, and more.
According to CultureMap Dallas, the Austin exhibition will include reproduced murals, “but it will also bring the works to life in new ways using video mapping installations. It will also take advantage of the space with an infinity room and a hologram installation.”
A press release stated, “'The Art of Banksy Without Limits' is not merely an exhibition but a showcase with a philosophy, as Banksy seeks to provoke, shock, and even unsettle society with his work.
“Banksy possesses the unique ability to express truths that many hesitate to voice. In a city like Austin, where creativity and individuality are part of the cultural fabric, his work feels especially resonant.”
The exhibition will debut at Fair Market in Austin (1100 E 5th St.) on May 29 and will run through September 7. Tickets are available HERE.
