Sitting in the “Splash Zone” at any animal water show comes with a high risk-high reward. You get a better view of the show than the rest of the crowd, but you’re almost guaranteed to leave it a little more wet than you arrived.
A crowd at SeaWorld San Antonio got the full treatment from a recent Killer Whale show.
Video from the park shows one whale defecating in the water right in front of the crowd, only for moments later another whale to splash them all with it!
Just look at the little kid’s face; he knows exactly what’s coming!
One guest who was splashed with the poo water told TMZ, “We expected to get wet sitting so close, but not like that. It smelled awful, and people were gagging.”
SeaWorld says the effected guests were immediately taken to a decontamination area where they got soap, bottled water and towels. Evidently, guests were also directed to the gift shop where they could purchase clean clothes!
The park said in a statement, “We regret this unfortunate event and are taking every step to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. Our team followed established protocols to minimize health risks and will review our procedures to prevent this from happening again."
