If you are a fan of classic horror films and start every morning with a hot cup of joe, you need to make your way to downtown Dallas.

Owners Adam Johnson and his wife Jami have combined two of their most ardent passions to create one business: Deep Cuts Coffee.

Horror posters decorate the wall, VHS tapes line the shop, and a classic combo television/VCR always has a classic film playing throughout the day.  Adam told the Dallas Observer, “I’ve been in the coffee business a long time, and I’ve been a horror fan even longer… A lot of this stuff is just from the house.”

Deep Cuts Coffee has plans to roast their own beans soon, with bags decorated with VHS-inspired artwork.

Deep Cuts Coffee is located at 1910 Pacific Ave. To get there, the Johnsons advise to access the sky bridge inside the Elm Street Garage (2012 Main Street) and “follow the horror energy down a couple of hallways.”
