The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders are more than just an NFL team’s support squad, they are a brand. Whether it’s through seeing them on the sidelines, at appearances and events, or in movies or television shows, the cheer team is known almost as much as the team they are cheering for. Now, the team’s reality show will be looking for a new home, as they announced after 16 seasons the show will no longer air on CMT.
‘Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team’ first debuted on CMT in 2005, and has since become a favorite for not only Dallas Cowboys fans, but for many around the country. However, their partnership with the channel has come to an end, as the show looks for a new home. “We could never have anticipated the outpouring of admiration and support from our fans and friends over the 16 Seasons on CMT’s Making the Team. The global impact on our brand and the beautiful journeys of amazing performers and teammates have been amazing,” said Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Director Kelli Finglass.

According to NBC DFW, the team announced in a press release that they look forward to continuing the show on a new platform. While nothing has been announced at this time, fans can expect plenty more from the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders.
