Before Will Ferrell was one of the most respected comedic actors of our time, he was just a young man looking to leave a job he didn’t want.
That job was at Disneyland. His excuse for leaving? America’s Team.
Ferrell revealed on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast that he had his friend call the theme park and give the explanation for Ferrell’s sudden departure (he left right after undergoing orientation) that he had an upcoming tryout with the Dallas Cowboys.

We think everyone will agree that Ferrell’s decision was probably the right one. And hey, the Cowboys are about to embark to Oxnard for training camp. They probably could free at least one roster spot for Buddy the Elf, right?
