The holiday season is in full swing, and there are few spots better to celebrate all things Christmas than right here in DFW.
Grapevine is definitely the Christmas capital of Texas, but Dallas was recently recognized by Thumbtack as the second “most-festive” city in the nation!
According to CultureMap Dallas, Thumbtack analyzed holiday light installation requests from customers from October 2024 to 2025 to determine the most festive U.S. cities.
The rankings were determined on the "relative frequency" of requests, after they were adjusted for the population of each state and metro area.
Austin holds the No. 1 spot in the list, with Houston coming in at No. 6, and San Antonio coming in at No. 9.
Surprisingly, these were the only Texas towns to make the top 20.
