The data of thousands of Chick-fil-A customers may have been exposed due to a potential data breach suffered by the restaurant.
The data affects customers in ten states, including Texas.
According to WFAA, cyber-attackers may have obtained names, email addresses, membership numbers, last four-digits of credit or debit card numbers, as well as the Chick-fil-A credit of 2,182 residents of Texas.
The data of customers in the District of Columbia, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont may also have been affected.
Chick-fil-A said it forced accounts to be logged out and removed any stored payment methods, and that impacted accounts that had Chick-fil-A One balances have been restored.
The restaurant also added rewards to the accounts impacted as "an additional way to say thank you for being a loyal customer."
