While traveling to other destinations can be a fun and fulfilling experience, the process of actually getting there is usually far less exciting. One of the main reasons some choose not to travel is all that comes with traveling through an airport. However, for as bad as that experience can be, travelers in North Texas are lucky, as DFW International Airport was recently named the best large airport in North America.

The 2022 Airport Service Quality award is given annually to the best large airport, over 40 million passengers annually, in North America. This year the award went to DFW International Airport, beating out around 20 other airports in the top category. The award is "based on data from [Air Service Quality]'s renowned departures and arrivals surveys,” according to WFAA.

Last year, the award went to Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, with Toronto Pearson International Airport winning the year before that. Now DFW Airport will have to try to repeat, and keep its claim as the best large airport in North America.
