Goldee’s Barbecue in Fort Worth has just made history.

They have become the first barbecue restaurant in DFW to earn a Michelin Star!

Yesterday, Michelin revealed their 2026 Michelin Guide, and while several DFW restaurants have earned a star before, no BBQ joints have. Four BBQ restaurants across the state have earned one (three in Austin and one in Spring), but Goldee’s is the first in North Texas!

Goldee’s is also Fort Worth’s first Michelin Star restaurant.

Co-owner Jalen Hurd told WFAA that the Michelin Star is another big UP for a barbecue joint that has already had its share of ups and downs.

“So we had our ups and downs." he said. "We opened up a month before COVID, so during that COVID time, it was mad down, but then after a year, we won actually Texas Monthly’s number one barbecue restaurant in Texas. So, since then it’s been pretty crazy."

Hurd says though that what matters most is hearing customers say the food is the best they have ever eaten.

“That’s the best feeling to me. I mean, seeing people’s reactions," Hurd said, “Them just saying it’s the best whatever they’ve ever eaten in their life.”

Goldee's Barbecue is located at 4645 Dick Price Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76140.
