It’s that time of year.  One day we could have a severe thunderstorm followed by a day where the temperature reaches 95 degrees.  And you know what results when large pools of water sit around baking in the heat?

Every Texan’s worst enemy.

It’s mosquito season, and it should come to no surprise to any resident of the Lone Star State that Texas is a haven for these little buggers.

According to a study from Terminix,  Dallas-Fort Worth ranks third in the nation of most mosquito-infested cities, falling only behind Los Angeles and New York.

Other locations in Texas making the top 50 include Houston at No. 7, San Antonio (15), Austin (30), Tyler-Longview (34), and Waco-Temple-Bryan at No. 18.

If you want to escape mosquitos, you’ll need to book a flight; Maine topped the rankings as the least mosquito-infested state, followed by Idaho, Iowa, Nevada, and Nebraska.
