DFW’s own (and my fellow Berkner High School alum) Jensen Ackles was recently tabbed to star in the upcoming animated movie ‘Batman: The Long Halloween Part One.’ Ackles previously voiced Jason Todd in ‘Batman: Under the Red Hood,’ but will now be voicing the iconic superhero.

Warner Bros. and DC recently released the ensemble cast for the upcoming animated film ‘Batman: The Long Halloween Part One,’ and many were thrilled to see Jensen Ackles name at the top. Along with the former ‘Supernatural’ star, the new ‘Batman’ film will include Naya Rivera, who passed away in 2020. According to MovieWeb, Rivera had already completed her voice work as Catwoman for the upcoming film.

Not much is known about the series, other than it is based on DC Comics’ iconic ‘Batman: The Long Halloween’ and is expected to be released in either the spring or summer. Along with Ackles and Rivera, the series will feature the voices of Josh Duhamel and Jack Quaid, among others. Hopefully Ackles’ voice can bring the Texas flair that the franchise needs.
