One of the buildings hit during the Dallas tornado outbreak of 2019 was the fire station on Royal Lane east of the Dallas North Tollway.
This week, construction on Fire Station #41 was officially completed, and the Dallas Fire Department celebrated its grand re-opening with another famous #41. Probably THE most beloved #41 in sports history.
Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki was on hand to greet firefighters and cut the ribbon of Fire Station #41, something the Tall Baller of the G was proud to be a part of.
Nowitzki told NewsRadio 1080 KRLD, "I saw the devastation firsthand, not only to this fire station but to the entire area.
"I'm happy to stand here today and thank all the fire rescue guys and women who keep our community safe and do so much for us. It's a great thing to make Dallas a better and safer place."
