The creator of Yellowstone and Landman has agreed to take the helm on a new, fully immersive film depicting the Battle of the Alamo.
Taylor Sheridan will direct and produce the feature, which will be shown at a new, “cutting-edge” 4D theater at the new Alamo Visitor Center and Museum.
Per WFAA, Alamo leaders say the new theater will be “among the most technologically advanced in the world,” and will offer a completely immersive experience that combines dynamic visual effects, sound and physical elements to recreate the historic battle.
Sheridan said he’s honored to undertake the role, stating in a press release, “The Alamo is the very bedrock Texas was founded upon.
“To chronicle the sacrifice made by the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives defending the Alamo is an honor I eagerly accept.”
The Alamo Visitor Center and Museum is scheduled to open in 2028.
