It's going to get a little hot in the next few days, and for anyone who has lived in Texas the last few years, you know rising temps only mean one thing: ERCOT is going to struggle a little bit.
Even though the temps will really be hovering around the low 90s, which is nothing compared to what we experience during the summer, 90 will be the hottest temperatures we've experienced all year thus far.
As such, ERCOT has issued a warning that the rising temperatures this week could cause a power emergency.
According to the Dallas Morning News, ERCOT has already made plans to "delay and cancel" planned generator outages across the state to help reinforce the grid this week, with the power emergency is expected to last from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday.
If ERCOT already needs help in the low 90s, we can't wait to see what happens when those triple digit temps roll around!
