Just about every city in North Texas has seen some new neighbors move to town in recent years, but according to a new report, one zip code stood out above the rest in 2022. With home buyers looking at Texas more than ever before, Forney’s 75126 zip code was named one of the hottest in America for homebuyers. In fact, Texas claimed three of the top five positions on the reports list of 2022 Hottest ZIP Codes in America.
OpenDoor recently unveiled their list of the hottest zip codes for home buyers in America last year. To come up with the rankings, the report analyzed data from the local Multiple Listing Services where OpenDoor operates and put the cities in order by total homes that went into contract within 90 days of listing in 2022. According to Dallas Culture Map, Forney’s 75126 zip code ranked 5th on the list, which was up three spots from 2021.
Also making the top five were 77494 in Katy at number three and 78130 in New Braunfels at number four. The only other North Texas zip code on the list was 76227 in Aubrey at number 13. Based on this list it seems many in DFW will soon be getting some new neighbors.
