Summer is still in full swing, but with temperatures starting to drop, many throughout the metroplex are already planning for next season. Of course, the moment fall begins the Halloween decorations go up for many DFW households. However, this year things are getting started a little earlier than normal, as a national Halloween pop up experience will be taking over a bar in Fort Worth in September.
Popular Fort Worth bar, Nickel City, recently announced they will soon transform into an immersive Halloween pop up experience. The pop up is called "Black Lagoon," which is a national touring pop up that will be taking over nine different bars throughout the country this fall. According to Dallas Culture Map, the pop up bar will include Goth culture and cult horror décor, specialty drinks, costumes and merchandise.
"We want this to be a space for the weird, for the misfits and the goths," said Black Lagoon creator Erin Hayes. The pop up takeover will have a special preview September 4, before opening for an extended time in October. Summer may have been rough this year for some, but luckily with this bar, Halloween is coming early.
