There are a lot of things to be scared of in this world, and Texas is leading the nation in searching them on the internet.
New research compiled by the THC drink brand BudPop found the Lone Star States searches fears and phobias more than anyone else in the nation, with Trypophobia leading the way as our most-searched fear.
According to CW33, the ten most searched fears and phobias in Texas included:
1 – Trypophobia (holes)
2 – Agoraphobia (Being trapped or in a situation where escape might be difficult)
3 – Phasmophobia (ghosts)
4 – Emetophobia (vomiting)
5 – Hypochondria (illness)
6 – Thalassophobia (Seas, oceans, and lakes)
7 – Claustrophobia (confined spaces)
8 – Arachnophobia (spiders)
9 – Acrophobia (heights)
10 – Submechanophobia (Submerged man-made objects)
Trypophobia ranked as the most-searched fear in 21 states, including California, Illinois, and Georgia.
