Becoming an Influencer is still a career path a lot of students wish to pursue these days.  Hutto ISD in Williamson and Travis Counties is making it a little easier for them.

The school district just announced its new “Student Influencer Program” which, according to KVUE, will give “middle and high school students the chance to create content for the district’s social media presence while building skills for the digital age.”

The students selected will be required to submit two pieces of content per month, covering topics such as school athletic events, club activities or personal experiences throughout the entire school year.

That content will then be reviewed by the school’s communications leader, who will then post it to social media.

District communications manager Eliska Padilla said, “Having students tell that story, it might get more students engaged and involved with things they’re interested in.”

Students in grades 6-12 will be eligible to apply.  Padilla says that at least two students from every campus will be selected to the program.
