For years, comic book fans have argued which is better; Marvel or DC comics. This debate has heated up in recent years, as the comic book giants have taken over the movie industry as well. While there has always been competition between the two companies, now it appears they may actually be teaming up in the near future. Director James Gunn recently revealed there have been discussions about a possible Marvel and DC crossover movie.

While most comic book fans tend to pick one side or the other, director James Gunn has made films for both cinematic universes. Gunn, who directed ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ for Marvel and ‘Suicide Squad’ for DC recently revealed he had an idea for a crossover movie involving Harley Quinn and Groot. “I've actually talked about that to the heads of both Marvel and DC, but, you know, it's like, they -- you know, everybody's open to everything, but whether anything would ever happen, who knows?” said Gunn.

According to NME, there are many legal issues that would have to be dealt with before a crossover movie could happen. Still, many fans were excited about the idea and hoped to see it happen soon. If it does happen, Gunn will likely do whatever he can to be involved.
