Confronting a bully is something every bullied kid wishes they could do; even if it comes 35 years later. That’s exactly what actor Jerry O’Connell did recently, when he took to social media to challenge one of his childhood bullies to a fight. Of course, that bully happened to be Kiefer Sutherland, O’Connell’s co-star in the 1986 film ‘Stand By Me.’
Responding to a recent movie fun facts tweet claiming Kiefer Sutherland would often bully his younger co-stars during ‘Stand By Me’ in order to stay in character, Jerry O’Connell decided after years of torture he finally had enough. “We can take him now. Anytime. Any place," said O'Connell. Of course, the actor was seemingly joking, though many said they wouldn’t mind watching that fight.
According to Movie Web, both Sutherland and O’Connell went on to have successful careers after ‘Stand By Me,’ with both landing iconic roles. Sadly, Sutherland still hasn’t responded to the fight request. Maybe one day the world will get this as a celebrity boxing match.
