Now, the next music icon to get the biopic treatment may be none other than Joni Mitchell. Cameron Crowe is reportedly working on a Joni Mitchell project, but the director claims this film won’t be like any other biopic.
Joni Mitchell and Cameron Crowe have had a close relationship for years, but the two have reportedly been working closely together for the past two years on a film about the music icon. According to NME, the film won’t be a standard biopic or a documentary, and will instead be more like an autobiography. Not much is known about the project as there is still no title, release date or cast.
The film will be Cameron Crowe’s first project since the 2016 series ‘Roadies.’ As for Mitchell, she is set to play her first headline show in 23 years later this summer. Soon, Joni Mitchell will be back on top of the music world.
