Jon Taffer and his show Bar Rescue travel across America looking to help struggling bars and restaurants.
Usually, the establishments highlighted are plagued by bad management, terrible food, and an irate customer base.
Let’s just say Lakewood Landing has none of that, which is why patrons of the longtime Dallas bar grew incensed that the television show approached them with an offer.
In fact, according to the Dallas Observer, this is the second time Bar Rescue has approached Lakewood Landing about appearing on the show. But Lakewood Landing feels they have nothing to “rescue” at all.
Jordan Lowery at Lakewood told the Observer, “Last time this happened, which was maybe five years ago, I replied the same way [politely], but what I wanted to do was send them links to every award we had won, every list we have appeared on, and favorable articles that had been written about us.”
There are some customers that feel like Lakewood Landing could improve. In some ways at least.
On their post on Facebook regarding to invitation from Bar Rescue, one customer wrote “Serve the corn dogs before 11pm. (Boom, you’ve been rescued.)”
