Keanu Reeves has portrayed a number of iconic roles throughout his acting career, but arguably the two most beloved are Neo from ‘The Matrix’ and John Wick. Fans often debate which of the two action heroes are better, leading to plenty of online arguments over the years. Now, Keanu Reeves himself has entered the debate, answering the question; which character would he rather be?
While promoting his upcoming film ‘The Matrix Resurrections,’ Keanu Reeves was recently asked which of his iconic characters he’d rather be in real life; Neo or John Wick. The actor went with Neo, according to AV Club, but it wasn’t an easy decision. “I don’t think John Wick would mind. I think he’d understand. But I think to be able to be with Trinity and have that life with them together and see what would happen–I think John Wick would be like ‘I got your back,’” said Reeves.
Of course, while some fans were thrilled with the answer, others were disappointed Reeves didn’t go with John Wick. Luckily, Reeves doesn’t have to actually pick and can continue playing both. In the end, everyone knows he’d rather be Ted Logan anyways.
