Kelly Clarkson has accomplished many goals throughout her career. She won the inaugural season of ‘American Idol,’ has sold millions of records, toured the globe and now even has her own talk show. Yet, according to the singer, the one thing fans yell at her the most has nothing to do with her career, and now we know who is to blame.

Kelly Clarkson had comedian Seth Rogen on her show this week, and while Rogen was on to promote his new book, the singer couldn’t help but confront Rogen about a line he wrote for the movie ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin.’ As seen in the clip, Clarkson blames Rogen for the “ah, Kelly Clarkson” line in the movie that fans have been yelling at her ever since. “I'm terribly sorry, first of all. I owe you an apology," said Rogen, though both were able to laugh about it.

Many fans were surprised to find out Rogen actually wrote that line, as Steve Carell is the one that blurts it out in the scene while getting his chest waxed. According to Entertainment Weekly, Rogen went on to explain his job was to write “alt jokes” for the film. Maybe Rogen will right another Kelly Clarkson shout out in a future project.
