KFC isn’t really called “Kentucky Fried Chicken” anymore, but after a recent announcement the chain might have to update the name of the restaurant to “PFC.”
Yesterday, KFC announced they would be moving their corporate headquarters from Louisville, Kentucky to the Pizza Hut headquarters in Plano!
The KFC global team is already located in Plano. Both chains operate under the same corporation, Yum! Brands.
According to NBC DFW, Yum! Brands and the KFC Foundation will still maintain offices in Louisville.
In a statement, KFC says the move will help "foster greater collaboration among brands and employees."
"These changes position us for sustainable growth and will help us better serve our customers, employees, franchisees and shareholders," said David Gibbs, Yum! Brands Chief Executive Officer. "Ultimately, bringing more of our people together on a consistent basis will maximize our unrivaled culture and talent as a competitive advantage. I’m confident this is another important step in growing our iconic restaurant brands globally."
