This is the reason people that are scared of rollercoasters are scared of rollercoasters.
A sensor malfunction on the Circuit Braker rollercoaster Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin left two riders stranded at the top of the ride for nearly an hour!
According to KVUE, emergency crews were called to the scene around 9:30pm Wednesday evening.
Despite the delay, the riders completed the ride under normal, no sensor issues, circumstances.
This is how the ride is SUPPOSED to go:
COTA provided a statement following the ride malfunction:
"A sensor triggered a ride delay. It was resolved and the ride proceeded without incident.
As with all amusement attractions of this sort, delays occasionally occur. We regret the inconvenience and are glad that out of the 25,000 people that have ridden the coaster, only two have this badge of courage."
