Metallica shares Weezer’s version of ‘Enter Sandman’ from upcoming covers album

Covering an iconic song is a difficult task, even when it’s done by an accomplished band. Still, Weezer recently decided to take on the challenge, covering Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ for their upcoming cover album.
Now, ahead of the release of ‘Metallica Blacklist’ the band has shared Weezer’s cover and many fans are impressed.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of ‘The Black Album,’ Metallica has decided to give fans a special treat, releasing a 53 track album featuring “unique interpretations” of songs from the album. Weezer will be joined by St. Vincent, Biffy Clyro, Phoebe Bridgers, IDLES, Mac DeMarco, Rina Sawayama Slipknot‘s Corey Taylor and more on the album. Along with the Weezer cover, Metallica also shared Nigerian singer Tomi Owó’s cover of ‘Through The Never’ to get fans excited for the album’s release.

According to NME, ‘Metallica Blacklist’ is set to be released on September 10. After hearing Weezer’s cover of ‘Enter Sandman’ fan anticipation for the album is at an all-time high. With this latest cover, Weezer is quickly becoming everyone’s favorite cover band.
