As temperatures continue to rise in Texas, many throughout the state are looking for any way to cool off. Of course, there’s no better way to do this than jumping in the pool, but sadly not everyone has that ability. Luckily, that’s now changing as some DFW homeowners are renting out their pools using an app called Swimply.
Many homeowners with a pool complain about the lack of use their backyard amenity gets throughout the summer, but now instead of staring at an empty pool all summer, they can turn it into a money maker. Swimply is an app that allows people to find backyard pools in their area that are available for rent. According to CBS DFW, the app works like Airbnb but for pools.
Homeowners set their price and those looking for pools just have to find one in their area that works for them. “Life is getting expensive these days so why not bring in some extra income," said Swimply user Toby Ramey. With this service, finding a pool to use should never be an issue again.
