Every state has a local restaurant chain they claim is the best in the country. Of course, the real test is when those restaurants venture out of their home town to try and entice new customers. While many chains first attempt to expand to neighboring states, it seems the true test is in Texas. The latest to try to break into the Lone Star state is beloved Nashville Hot Chicken chain, Hattie B’s, which opened their first Texas location in Deep Ellum on Wednesday.
After months of anticipation, the first Hattie B’s in Texas opened their doors on Wednesday. To celebrate the grand opening, the chain is offering a Dallas-only menu; fried dill pickles with Hattie B’s hot spices. The new restaurant features outdoor seating on a 1,000 square-foot patio, with 91 seats inside.
While the Deep Ellum location is Hattie B’s first in Texas, the chain plans to continue to expand throughout Texas, according to Dallas Eater. The new restaurant is located at 3000 Main Street. Hopefully the hot chicken can pass the Texas taste test.
