Texas weather can be extremely erratic, which can make outdoor activities very difficult. While there are plenty of good weather days throughout the year in the Lone Star state, the occasional extreme drop in temperature or heavy rain storm can ruin plans quickly. Luckily, a new trend in DFW is making sure outdoor fun can continue, regardless of weather, and a new hotel in the area has hopped on board.

The Vin Hotel in Grapevine, which opened in September, recently unveiled new "igloo" like bubbles on their rooftop, so people can enjoy the area year round. The waterproof bubbles fit up to six people and each comes with speakers, furniture, and heaters. There are four bubbles located at the hotel's Rioja Rooftop Terrace, and a reservation is required.

While these "igloos" are a new concept to many, the Waterproof Lounge in Dallas has been using them since December 2019, as other hotels and bars are now taking part in the trend. With a few months before consistent nice weather returns to Texas, these pods should make nights out much more enjoyable.
