Books about rock bands are great for fans but often restart battles between bandmates that have since been forgotten. Now, a new book about Van Halen is set to be released next month and fans are wondering what rivalries will emerge. ‘Van Halen: The Eruption and the Aftershock’ by Michael Christopher will tell the story of one of rock music’s greatest soap operas and how the band weathered the storm.
The new Van Halen book will be released October 1, but is currently available for pre-order. Featuring interviews from members of Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Velvet Revolver, Pantera, Ratt and more, the book will dive into topics such as; the arrest of David Lee Roth on the "Van Halen II" tour, the first public appearance of “Van Hagar,” and why the 2007 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction fell apart. According to Blabbermouth, the book also includes previously unpublished interviews with Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Gary Cherone.
Many fans are excited to see what new stories about the band this book will share. Luckily, the band was heavily researched by author Michael Christopher. If he did his job, someone will be upset with this book.
