Multiple North Texas cities land on list of best places to live in United States

Some suburbs that don't normally make the cut were the top choices for this list

There are many things Texans do better than anyone else, and that list is continuing to grow. Now, a new study has placed multiple North Texas cities on a list of the best places to live in the United States. While this has become a common occurrence, some new names were honored this time around.

New York and Texas don't see eye to eye on many things, but this is one they will definitely agree on. A recent study, conducted by the New York Times, named Euless as the best place to live in the country, with multiple Texas cities rounding out the top 10. According to WFAA, Following Euless on the list were; Edgecliff Village at number three, Garland at number four, Grand Prairie at number five, Mesquite at number six, DeSoto at number seven, and Cedar Hill at number eight.

"It's clear why these are some of the fastest-growing areas in the country. They have relatively little crime and are teeming with jobs, housing, highly rated schools, good restaurants, clean air and racial and political diversity — all at a steep discount compared to the cost of living in America's coastal metropolises," said New York Times writer Farhad Manjoo. While many were surprised by the cities named, it proves once again why Texas is the greatest.
