Passengers on an American Airlines flight from Milwaukee to Dallas earlier this week were forced to step in and restrain a man who was attempting to open the plane's cabin door while it was in the air.
According to FOX 4, the passenger made a couple of comments toward a flight attendant and then demanded to get off the flight, lunging at the flight attendant and one of the doors on the plane.
McKinney resident Doug McCright was on the flight and observed the passenger yelling at a flight attendant before she motioned behind her back for help.
McCright says he and another passenger rushed to the front of the plane and taped the man's hands and feet with duct tape and held him down for the remaining 30 minutes of the flight.
The plane landed at DFW shortly after 10am, where the police and the FBI were waiting to escort the passenger off the plane.
The flight attendant injured her wrist and neck during the altercation and had to be transported to the hospital but has since been released.
