Waco police have had their hands full as of late. We didn’t think when those officers signed up for the academy though, they thought it would be to catch kangaroos.
But that’s exactly what they’ve had to deal with. Multiple times this past year in fact.
Per KCEN, last September Waco PD were called to capture two loose kangaroos who escaped from the Waco Wildlife Rescue.
And yesterday, it happened again. It’s unclear if this kangaroo also escaped from the Waco Wildlife Rescue, but the officers were able to safely capture the animal on Robinson Drive.
KCEN reached out to The Waco Wildlife Rescue after Monday's escape but have not heard back.
