What an amazing career being an influencer is. You take a selfie here and there…make a video about whatever product a company sends you for free…and then get paid a ridiculous amount of money relative to the actual work you put in.
What a life.
If you’re thinking of a career change and want to finally take a stab at that influencer dream, be thankful that you live in Texas.
A new report from BetMGM Casino found that Texas is fourth biggest influencer generator among every state in the nation, with around 8% of the most-followed U.S. creators coming from the Lone Star State.
No surprise, California landed at the top of this list generating about 25% of U.S. creators and influencers.
Next comes New York, Florida, and then Texas. Pennsylvania rounds out the top five.
The study found that Texas born creators generate 1.57B combined followers across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram & Twitch, and that Texas produces 43 creators in the global top 500 across all platforms.
