It wasn’t our intention to start your Tuesday morning off with news that will make you angry, but this story cannot be ignored.
Yelp compiled a new list of the “Top 100 BBQ Restaurants” in the nation, and California had more spots on the list than Texas!
BUT there is a HUGE catch. According to the NY Post, many of the restaurants in California don’t serve the traditional BBQ fare like brisket and ribs.
The restaurants mentioned specialize in Korean barbecue and Japanese yakiniku, which helped push California ahead in the rankings.
Texas had 13 spots in the ranking, but California edged the Lone Star State out with 14.
The number one BBQ spot ranked in the country was Little Miss BBQ in Phoenix, described on Yelp as “where prime meats are slow-cooked over Arizona firewood for unforgettable flavor.”
