According to new research from DuelBits, Americans have over 300 forgetful moments every year and lose an average of five items per week.
And most of those instances seem to occur in the Lone Star State.
The research found Texas to be the seventh most-forgetful state in the nation, and recorded the second most forgotten password searches, with 323,640 annual searches for Amazon, Facebook, and Microsoft account logins, significantly above the national average of 67,245.
Texans were also found to make 16,970 searches per 100,000 people annually for lost or misplaced items, which is the 11th highest rate nationwide.
The most common searches included terms like ‘find my phone,’ ‘lost keys,’ ‘replace driver’s license,’ and ‘lost passport’.
The ten most forgetful states in the nation include:
1 – California
2 – Nevada
3 – New York
4 – Georgia
5 – Colorado
6 – Alabama
7 – Texas
8 – North Carolina
9 – Florida
10 – Maryland
