It was a scary situation for passengers on an American Airlines flight that was meant to fly to Dallas.
While sitting at a gate at Denver International Airport, the plane caught FIRE!
Video captured passengers escaping the fire by walking out onto the wing. Miraculously, nobody was seriously hurt in the incident. According to the Dallas Morning News, twelve people were transferred to a Denver hospital with minor injuries.
The airline said in a statement, "We thank our crew members, DEN team and first responders for their quick and decisive action with the safety of everyone on board and on the ground as the priority."
American said the cause of the fire was due to an "engine-related issue."
