Portillo’s has only been open in DFW for a few weeks, but already they are ready to expand. The Chicago-based chain recently announced they will add two new locations in the metroplex. Soon, people in Allen and Arlington will know what all the fuss is about as well.
Since opening in The Colony last month, Portillo’s has consistently seen a long line outside as DFW attempts to get their first taste of the iconic hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches. While that location dealt with a number of delays, they are hoping their next two locations will launch more smoothly.
While not much is known at this time, both the Allen and Arlington locations are expected to open in 2023.

According to Dallas Morning News, Portillo’s is hoping to expand even more with 20 restaurants in the area within five years. Portillo’s CEO Michael Osanloo recently said they are “thrilled to be expanding in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.” Maybe this move will convince even more iconic chains from around the country to give Texas a try.
