Britton and Amanda Chism thought they had some time.  Their baby wasn't due until November 21, so they thought nothing of going to get World Series MVP Corey Seager's autograph at an Academy Sports and Outdoors near their home in Rockwall.

After all, the couple are die-hard Rangers fans, and Britton's constant excitement during the World Series run is something Amanda warned their unborn baby that was something she had to get used to.

Amanda told WFAA, "He was jumping up and down yelling and screaming. I was telling her the whole time in my stomach, you better get used to it!"

Well, the day after the World Series parade, which the couple attended, was the Corey Seager appearance.  The Academy had a line wrapped around the building, but the couple didn't mind.  "The whole day we were joking around between us and the people around us like, oh maybe if I go into labor, we'll be guaranteed to get an autograph," Amanda joked.

As they got closer to Seager, Amanda felt something, and quickly, the jokes became reality!  But Amanda didn't say a word, in order not to "freak out her husband," so she waited until the autograph was secured, and that's when she informed Britton that her water had broke!

"I went from being a fan girl with Seager thinking I was going to faint, and then, oh no! It's time to go!" Britton said.

They rushed to the hospital, and after a couple of hours their daughter was born.  Britton tried to negotiate "Corey" or "Seager somewhere into the name, but Amanda wasn't having it!  Their daughter, Savannah Renee Chism, does have some connection to the World Series MVP.

"[Seager's] number is 5. Savannah was born on the fifth at a hospital off Highway 5, and she was five pounds 14 ounces," Britton explained. "So, the number 5 has got a special place in this family."
