After decades of serving Dallas residents some of the best chicken this side of the Trinity, Rudy’s Chicken is saying goodbye.

According to WFAA, the legendary Oak Cliff restaurant is closing for good on February 28th, after it was revealed owner Rudolph Edwards has been in poor health.

If you want one more basket, be prepared to wait.

Lines down Lancaster Ave stretched for one-and-a-half to two hours of customers trying to get their final meal.

Rudy's is set to remain open at 3115 S Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Saturday, although workers cut off the line Sunday at around 3:45 p.m.
