Not only is Shaquille O'Neal a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, he is also a licensed deputy with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.
So between his basketball and law enforcement careers, Shaq knows a thing or two about shots.
As such, Shaq is sponsoring a gun buyback event this weekend, open to all residents of Dallas County. The event, hosted by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, will give those who turn in handguns a $100 gift card, and those who turn in long guns $125 gift cards.
There is a three firearm per resident limit.
Shaq said in a statement, "I support Sheriff Brown's initiatives; Sheriff is doing the right thing and keeping our communities safe."
According to FOX 4, the event will be from 9 a.m. to Noon this Saturday at the Dallas County Sheriff's Training Academy, located at 8401 South Polk Street in Dallas.
