The state of Texas has revealed the launch of gold and silver 2026 commemorative coins, which the state also refers to as “Lone Stars.”

According to WFAA, the coins are “intended to introduce more people to the Texas Bullion Depository and its services.”

Both coins feature Lady Liberty placing the Lone Star atop the Texas Capitol building and were designed by artist Joel Iskowitz.

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Kelly Hancock said in a statement, “We are proud to oversee this important initiative on behalf of the people of Texas.

“The State of Texas Commemorative Series reflects years of hard work to build a depository that Texans can trust, and it’s an honor to bring a program of this caliber to market — one that celebrates Texas history while advancing the financial protections for Texans that the Legislature envisioned.”

The coins are available for pre-order HERE and will be released in mid-July.

The silver will run you about $70, while the gold are significantly more expensive.

A half-ounce gold coin is $2,170.86, while a 1-ounce coin will cost $4,141.71.
