Rather than biting the bullet and purchasing the expensive eggs, some folks have decided on an alternative method to secure them: renting their own chickens.
A company called Rent The Chicken will bring a full chicken coop, along with two-to-four egg laying hands and place it in directly in your yard. According to the company, two hens lay about a dozen eggs a week, and four hens lay about two dozen eggs a week.
