Food is serious business here in the state of Texas. It's not just barbecue, either. Wherever you go in the state, chances are you're around the corner from an amazing restaurant.
With that in mind, it's no wonder Texas is one of the havens in the United States for competitive eating.
A new study from Betway found that Texas has the second-most competitive eaters in the nation, ranking only behind Georgia.

1 – Georgia
2 – Texas
3 – Florida
4 – Missouri
5 – Pennsylvania
6 – New York
7 – Illinois
8 – Indiana
9 – California
10 – Michigan

Texas also ranked second as having the most food challenges in the nation (150), followed only by California (188).
